Long Term Course

Teaching Plan:
1.Placement: All participants will undergo an entrance test before the program begins.
Students may enter the program at one of 6 levels
Beginner A, Elementary B
Intermediate A, IntermediateB,
Advanced,Business Chinese
Each class will have about 20 students.
2.Curriculum:
Grammar - Listening comprehension - Reading - Conversation - Culture
3. Schedule: Mon. to Fri. from 8:30 - 12:00 AM.
Tuition (USD):
Semester I: Sep. - Jan. $900
Semester II: Mar.- Jul. $900
Semester III: Sep.-Jul. $1700

Application fee: $50


Short Term Course

Students may opt to take a more short term course within a semester, however this must be for a minimum of 4 weeks. Tuition will be calculated weekly.
Short-term Tuition: 4-weeks $300 (any time from July 12 to August 20)
6-weeks $400 (from July 12 to August 20)
8-weeks $500 (not available this year)


Winter and Summer Intensive Courses

The winter intensive course usually starts in January each year and the summer intensive course starts in July each year. The program could be from 4 weeks to 6 weeks according to the year's schedule.

The intensive course is focused on practicing Chinese listening and speaking. It is designed to improve the students' ability in Chinese listening and speaking as much as possible in a short time.

The teachers will also introduce some knowledge of Chinese characters and Chinese culture in class. In the afternoon, we also arrange some elective courses for the students, such as HSK instruction, Taichi, Calligraphy and tutoring with Chinese students .

Excursions are also arranged in the evenings and weekends, which enable the students to learn more
about the Chinese culture.


One-to-One Course

Students can have their private course according to their requirement.One to One course can be arranged at any time the students like.Tuition for this course is US$12 per hour.


Elective Courses
* Calligraphy: Famous calligraphist as the teacher. After one semester
course, (once a week) students are able to know the general character structure of calligraphy, and have some formal writings.

* HSK Instruction: This course is focused on HSK exam, which is known as Chinese TOEFL. It is a very important exam for those students who are going to enter the Chinese Universities for further study. There is an experienced teacher take this course, in order to help the students get familiar with the whole exam and try to have a better result.

* Chinese Painting: Chinese Painting is a very interesting course and it is very easy for foreigner to study. Teacher for this course is one of the famous painters in China, who has held several art exhibitions around the world.


Specialized Course

Immersion Training: Practical Language Course, including: cultural training, tutorials, free conversational exchange and tours, which combined, help students to improve their Chinese quickly, and in a limited period of time. Sixteen groups, totaling more than ninety students, from the American Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine corps, and also eighteen students from Crel-Duisberg-Gesellschaft, Germany, have already graduated from CAMIC language courses.

Credits Transfer: For university students studying Chinese as a foreign language, CAMIC's certificates of study may be used as credit points towards a degree in your own university or school.
